In addition to providing pallets, they also specialise in pallet repair and recycling. Any pallets beyond repair are sent to Flamers, where they are transformed into Flamers wood logs. Before adopting Herbst Software, the Conroy Group faced challenges with their previous ERP system, which couldn’t handle product converters or bill of materials effectively. They needed a bespoke solution that aligned with their business needs and could accommodate multiple companies. Seven years ago, they implemented Herbst Software, which allowed them to manage bill of materials, product converters, and multi-company functionalities seamlessly. With Herbst, Conroy Group can track daily real-time stock levels, stock value, pallet repair costs, and profit and loss effortlessly. They particularly appreciate the trucker app module, which enables drivers to capture electronic signatures and automatically send dockets back to the office. This user-friendly touchscreen interface has streamlined operations for management and made the truck drivers’ lives more simple. Additionally, Conroy Pallets collaborated with Herbst’s CEO, Orson Herbst, to develop a route scheduler module within the Herbst system. This collaboration eliminated the need for external systems and significantly enhanced operational efficiency. With this new module, Conroy Pallets can visualise their truck routes and orders in real-time on a map, allowing for better planning and optimisation of logistics operations.
