FRS Cahir was established in 1971 as a relief milking service, providing farmers with much-needed assistance. Over the past 50 years, it has grown and diversified its services to meet the evolving needs of the agricultural industry. Today, FRS offers a wide range of services including calving, milking, general farm work, tractor driving, cow scanning, hoof care, calf dehorning, grass measuring, and soil sampling. With a team of 80 full-time employees and 100 part-time staff, FRS is well-equipped to provide comprehensive support to farmers across various tasks and operations. In recent years, FRS Cahir have expanded their offerings to include a hardware store, providing a convenient source for household products, animal feeds, DIY supplies, and building materials, further enhancing its value proposition for farmers and rural communities.

FRS Cahir faced significant challenges with their stock take process, requiring a full day’s closure to manually count thousands of products. Additionally, the time-consuming accounting process after stock take, meant that management had to wait for at least a month before gaining insights into their stock levels. They also sought a POS system to streamline sales operations within their store.
