Banagher Concrete uses Herbst Insight ERP alongside a suite of integrated applications to streamline operations, improve control, and eliminate paper-based processes across transport, finance, purchasing, and job costing.

The Herbst Trucker App plays a key role in connecting drivers directly with the head office system. Using their smartphones, drivers receive dockets digitally, deliver product on site, and capture customer signatures in real time – all without needing to return to the office. Delivery data is instantly synchronised with Herbst Insight, ensuring accurate, up-to-date information is available across the business.

Once deliveries are completed, Herbst’s invoicing and email functionality allows invoices and monthly statements to be issued automatically in real time. Tasks that previously took several hours using hard-copy paperwork are now completed in minutes, significantly improving efficiency and reducing administrative overhead.

Banagher Concrete also makes extensive use of purchasing and purchase order management within Herbst Insight. Managers raise POs centrally, assign them to specific supervisors and production areas, and track spend accurately across the business. This structured approach enables seamless reporting, giving management clear visibility and control over expenditure by area and responsibility.

To support financial oversight at project level, Banagher utilises the Job Costing module to track transport budgets on individual jobs against actual performance. This allows the business to closely monitor costs, analyse variances, and maintain strong financial discipline across large-scale construction projects.
