Eco-readymix is one of the UKs largest ready-mix concrete, mortar and floor screed suppliers for house builders and construction companies. The company is dedicated to reducing environmental impact in the production of high-quality building materials.
In 2013, Eco-readymix wanted to replace its accounting software and, at the same time, integrate systems with its nearby batching plant partner and track customer deliveries. The batching plant partner produces and delivers Eco-readymix’s cement orders. As the cement production and delivery is done by a partner, Eco-readymix wanted to automatically send customer orders to this partner. It was vital for both companies to have real-time information on product completion and delivery. The partner company highly recommended that Eco-readymix deploy Herbst ERP as they were already using it.

Initially Duggan implemented the ERP system paying particularly attention to traceability. In 2016, they added a cloud client so sales reps could enter details via tablet or smartphone and create orders on customer premises.
In 2016, Eco-readymix added two further Herbst modules to enable customers to sign for orders and know exactly when orders were delivered. This removed all paperwork involved in the delivery process and provided the management team with real-time delivery information.
Eco-readymix management is now confident that payment will be received as customer credit is checked before sales order completion. This is particularly important as the production and delivery of the cement is carried out by a partner. Because the two companies’ systems are integrated, Eco-readymix has real-time information about order status.
Customer signatures are electronically captured via mobile or tablet and the team knows exactly when the order has been fulfilled. The reporting module provides visibility over the complete operation.
