What should wholesalers look for in an ERP system?

Wholesalers should prioritise stock control, purchasing workflows, pricing control, reporting and how well the system connects those processes in one environment.

Why is stock control so important in ERP for wholesalers?

Because stock control affects purchasing, sales, warehouse activity and reporting. If stock visibility is weak, the wider business becomes harder to manage accurately.

What makes distribution ERP software different from general business software?

Distribution ERP software is built around the realities of wholesale operations, including inventory, purchasing, order processing, delivery scheduling, invoicing and finance working together.

Why does reporting matter when choosing ERP wholesale distribution software?

Because reporting shows whether the system is really giving the business live visibility. If reports still depend on manual reconciliation, the ERP is not fully solving the operational problem.
