ei/Trax is a premier Document Management System based on the filing principals of all manual filing systems and improved upon with customer input. It was developed in the late ninties and aimed at all business's that required a simple, affordable, structured, flexible and powerful document management system. Over 500 companies in Ireland and the UK use ei/Trax to manage critical information within their business's.

Retrieve original archived documents directly from your Herbst accounts using plug-in which directly interoperates with ei/Trax. Examples Proof of delivery (POD),  Service call documents, customer contracts.

EI Trax is a full three-tier client server application utilising the strengths of a full database yet not having the overhead of a separate user or client based licensing issue.  

This allows us to offer a full department wide licence from the outset, thereby allowing our customers the freedom to add as many users as they wish to their complete document management solution. Because the system has been designed from the ground up to cater for organisations of any size, the system may be deployed on a department or company wide basis.

The system uses the industry standard Tiff (tagged image file format) file type allowing for multiple document images per file and also allowing by default, the e-mailing of the documents in the knowledge that any recipient can access the information using standard Windows98 up to Windows Vista. No additional software is required by receipents.

Scanning - The scan module caters for all paper sizes from cheque size to a scanners maximum input A3. Many different paper qualities are also catered for from NCR to A4 cut sheet.  Multipage documents can also be scanned as single files.

Indexing  - The indexing has been designed with ease of use as the primary concern without any reduction in features. Each index template allows for unlimited index fields, this in turn may be configured to only allow certain input. Barcode recognition module provides automatic indexing.

Search -Using the search module the user may search under different criteria. Multiple users can retrieve information from their desktop. Information can then be viewed, faxed, printed or e-mailed.
