Insight uses a trader concept. Both customers and suppliers are
traders. To manage customer accounts, use Customers list.
Drill-down Technology
This demonstration shows you the incredible drill-down feature
of Insight.
Customers List and Its Views
Every list of items in Insight can have the number of views. A
view is the data representation in the grid. View settings include
columns that will be displayed, filters for data in columns and
sort order for columns. Now we are going to see a set of predefined
views of the Customers list.
Create Sales Order from the Customers
List
You can create transactions just from the Customers list.
Create Payment from the Customers List
Now you have the opportunity to fulfill the standard sequence of
actions to enter payment.
Credit
Control Information in the Customer Window
You can see information important for the credit control in the
customer window and in the views of the Customers list. This
demonstration shows how you can get credit information from the
customer's window.
Multi-currency Customer
Account
Customer accounts are fully multi-currency and retains balances
in each currency separately. It allows foreign banks and traders to
be reconciled in their currencies, in which the transactions were
created. The consolidated balances of the accounts are shown in the
list of customers. The balances can be shown in the default
currency of the accounts or in one selected currency. You can see
the currency analysis of the balances in customer properties
window.
Give Discount
Receive a Payment, allocate to an invoice and give a
discount.
Analyse
You can quickly analyse the information shown in the grid. Now
we are going to analyse total dues by type of business.
Products
Product List
Product list is a place where you can manage stock items,
services, etc. They are all called products. The information in the
list can be represented in a number of ways - views.
Summary Page and Drill-down
Technology
Using unique drill-down technology the user can find out any
information.
Special Prices
Special price is default price of this product for a particular
customer.
Analysis of Product Sales
Movement
There is an opportunity to analyse movement of stock
products.
Locations
Products can be located in several places.
Bill of
Materials Products
Some products can have bill of materials (for example, computer
can consists of monitor, motherboard, memory, keyboard, etc.). You
can define a number of items for a product. You can assemble such
stock item any time you want. In the result the number of used
items will be reduced and the number of BOM products will be
increased.
Now we are going to assemble two PCs for sale.
Weighbridge
Create a Weigh In transaction
If your computer is connected to the automatic weighbridge, you
can quickly put weights to the weigh transactions that are created
within Insight. Usually the weigh transactions are created in
several steps.
Security
There are powerful mechanisms of the security control within
Insight.
Giving all users high level or unrestricted access to all Insight
functions may be OK in a small business - but Insight is designed
as a multi-user application, and large sites may want to limit
employee work functions using the Security options available in
Insight.
Security Log
Security Log contains all user activities. You can find out
event date and time, kind and description of object, kind of
action, user login and computer name.
User Privileges
You can define what is allowed to do for every user. The parts
of program that are restricted for the user are hidden.
Transactions
Converting
Daybook shows all transactions for the selected period. With the
help of Daybook you can overview the company activities from date
to date. You can see that today only Sales Order was created.
Reporting
Preview Reports
Report Desktop is a "holding area" in effect, where reports are
maintained. Reports are organized in the subject groups.
